| November 2010 Planned maintenance on rigging A team of riggers from T. Nielsen & Company joined the Stavros S Niarchos in Southampton to carry out planned maintenance to the rig, along with repairs to the topgallant mast. |

| September 2010 Winter work arrives in the yard Pilot Cutter Olga arrives for her planned historically correct interior fit out and re-engine. Mascotte, the 1904 Pilot Cutter totally rebuilt by the yard in 1994 and now with a new owner, is back in for a remodelled interior including bigger water tanks and larger battery capacity. The classic 1920's yacht, Halycon, (illustrated) arrives for winter maintenance and a full painting of the top sides. |

| July/August 2010 Prince William, de-rigging of all masts, spars and rigging for survey, overhaul and service as necessary. Re-instate in preparation for her passage to Pakistan. The work was carried out at Dusnstan Shipyard in Hull by a team of our riggers lead by Tommi Nielsen. Indian Navy Sail Training Ship Bowsprit - laminated a new 11.7 metre bowsprit and fittings (illustrated). |

| May 2010 Ice damage being repaired Pilot Cutter Olga, owned by Swansea Maritime Museum, is in the small dry dock for repairs to her planking on the waterline. She sustained the damage from ice during last winter, and in all 15 planks need to be replaced. |

| April 2010 Cornubia finishes total refit Pilot Cutter Cornubia left the yard at the beginning of April after her total refit. She has started her sailing season well, winning the Bristol Channel Pilot Cutters Owners 'Cock of the Bristol Channel' race. Johanna Lucretia and Mascotte also took part. |

| April 2010 Back Badge Square Art Installation The yard is busy manufacturing the components for an art installation in Gloucester Docks, using purple heart timber and copper. The artwork, commissioned by Britannia Construction, is being installed in Back Badge Square, the area in front of the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum, and will be completed in June. The Artist, Katayoun Dowlatshahi, said that the inspiration for the artwork came from seeing the ships in our dry dock being worked on. |

| March 2010 A sunny Open Day More than 100 guests attended the first Open Day held at our yard in Gloucester. Tommi Nielsen commented: We have five ships in the yard at present, so we thought it would be a good opportunity to show off our skills." The boats on show included Halcyon, Cornubia, Nordic Star, Johanna Lucretia and Kochi. Each boat invited its own guests and Cornubia, for example, invited a group of disabled children. The Open Day was a great success and Tommi Nielsen took the opportunity to announce that there are exciting plans to build a Motor Sailing Fishing Vessel in the yard. | February 2010 We work through the big freeze Although snow and sub-zero temperatures have proved challenging at times, we haven't let the weather beat us. Halcyon, a classic Bermudan ketch, is in the large dry dock for topside panting and other routine work. 2-masted schooner Johanna Lucretia (pictured) is in the small dry dock where she has undergone caulking and other hull work over the last two months. The major refit of the trawler yacht Nordic Star is near completion and she will be in dry dock soon for a final coat of paint on the topsides. |

| January 2010 Rig refit for Sail Training Brig The Stavros S Niarchos is a magnificent 60 metre square rigged brig owned by The Tall Ships Youth Trust. Under full sail she has managed speeds of over 13 knots in good conditions. | December 2009 Bristol Pilot Cutter Cornubia launched Originally built in 1911, and renamed 'Hirta' in 1939, this Bristol Pilot Cutter has now reverted to her original name 'Cornubia'. Nearing the finish of a complete rebuild, Cornubia was relaunched at Monk Meadow Quay at the beginning of December. Now berthed in the Main Basin, she has had her mast stepped and fitting out is in progress. |
